ART CELEBRATION
Approximately 300 guests gathered on Thursday, September 21, at the Columbus Museum of Art’s annual Art Celebration to celebrate Beth Crane and Richard McKee’s profound legacy of support for the Columbus Museum of Art, particularly in the realm of museum learning. The event also honored Artist Honoree LaShae Boyd. Attendees enjoyed a black-tie, seated dinner and raised more than $500,000 to provide vital operating support and to ensure the ongoing care and conservation of the Museum collection and continued presentation of world-class exhibitions and programs to share with a broad and diverse public. The evening also featured an announcement of a transformative $1.2 million gift from Battelle, which established the Fund for Learning. This three-year initiative aims to nurture creativity, critical thinking, civic-mindedness, and well-being among visitors of all ages.
